I joined the American College of Healthcare Executives in 2009 on a recommendation from a mentor, who was also a member and Fellow in ACHE. I pursued the FACHE credential because my mentor shared that my organization values the credential, and I wanted to advance my career within the organization.
One skill that I believe everyone should possess is the ability to communicate effectively, and the greatest lesson that I’ve learned thus far in my career is to always try to determine what’s in it for the person you are negotiating with.
